Lots of traveling - first stop Las Vegas

So it has been awhile since I have posted. We have been traveling all over. A couple of weeks ago, we went to Brandon's cousin's wedding (Nick), in Las Vegas. He got married to Paige. It was a blast and a half. I had never been to Vegas before. It was HOT! flaming hot! We stayed with Brandon's friend from his mission who now lives there, Jorge, and his family. We love them and their daughter is a gem. They were great. Not only that, but we got to swim in their pool. Izzy loved it... and so did I.

I got to practice swimming! I am still not that great, but every once in awhile, I get a few good strokes in with great breathing techniques. The best part though, was they use salt instead of chlorine to clean their pool. So not nearly as damaging chemicals and we could spend a lot more time out there.Izzy loved chillin in the tube. She kicked her legs and layed back to chillax.

Our air conditioning in our jeep went out about 30 miles before we arrived in Vegas. Windows down and lots of water, we survived the few days there and all the way back home. But it was great because we got to go see Ryan's parents and say hi. His dad looked at our jeep to make sure it would survive the trip back to Logan. But, yeah, it is now fixed! Jason Holman fixed it for us!! Thank Jason!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISABELA!

Walker!

Back in the day when Isabela actually used her walker, she LOVED it. She cruised around everywhere. Once she was in the kitchen and ran into the broom. Don't ask me how, but somehow she got it right over the top of her. She tried to come out into the front room, but got stuck in the doorway.

Then somehow when I put the broom back up, she hit it just right and it fell over the front of the walker. She was quite the site trying to move around and laughing as she hit things.

My, my! What a surprise... Asleep again in some awkward place. Wouldn't it be great to fall asleep like that, just sitting there? Oh, wait. That would be the bishop in sacrament meeting!

Life is the Greatest!

Don't you love it? I get to sleep wherever, whenever, HOWever I like ;)

And I am a GREAT help with the laundry!

Alligator anyone?

One night Brandon and I went to check on Isabela after she fell asleep. We about died laughing (trying to not wake her up) as we realized she has the alligator tail in her mouth.

Who am I?

Everyone thinks Izzy looks like her dad. Steph's mom and grandma thinks she looks like Steph as a kid. But looks at this... almost identical. She really is her daddy's girl.
We were showing Steph's mom pics of Izzy and she saw this and said,
"Izzy is so cute! And standing already." Ha!
Then we told her who it really was... Brandon!
So now it's official, she really is her daddy's girl.
(Oh, and Izzy does not use a binkie :)

Happy Easter!

Yeah!! It's Easter!

Izzy had so much fun hitting the eggs together, but it was freezing cold outside!
She eventually got her plastic eggs and chased them all over the floor.
When she got to the kitchen floor at grandma's, those eggs just flew! She was giggling so hard as she crawled as fast as she could after them.

Yes! This chocolate is wonderful!
How come nobody told me about this stuff before?

OH! Because it zaps the energy right out of you... I don't feel so good.
I need a nap.

A few teeth

So a few teeth have settled in, and it only adds to the cuteness of Isa, but obviously it hasn't really helped keeping the food "in" the mouth. She's also loving playing with the remotes, she doesn't really know what each one does, but she knows the light up and it is fun to push the buttons

Piolín (Pee-oh-leen)

At church people have started calling Isabela, Piolín. Piolín is "Tweety" in Spanish. It has become her nickname here at home. We just can't get over her big, bright blue eyes and bald head.

The other day I decided to take pictures of Izzy's teeth. All she wanted was pictures of her tongue, but I finally got a good one. She is such a ham!

This is kind of an older one, but I love it. Izzy used to always fold her arms and lay on them. Her eyes are just so big.

Brandon always gets up with Isabela in the mornings so I can sleep in a little longer.

But the other morning she woke up really early. At 7 Brandon came in like a walking zombie. He was so tired. He just said, "Please, I can't take it anymore. She has so much energy."

I took her into the other room and played. Then I put her in her walker. She cruised like crazy for about 30 min then within about 5 seconds slowed down and fell asleep in mid motion. I couldn't even pry the marker out of her hand.

The other day I found Izzy's swimming suit. I put it on and she went swimming in the bathtub. She was all giggles. And now she is pulling herself up to a standing position so she likes to stand in the bathtub now and doesn't play in the water as much like she used to.

This is Claudia, Santiago, and Isabela. We went over for Juan's birthday party. Everyday Cluadia and Santiago ask for Isabela. Claudia is a little mommy already. At church she comes over and gives Izzy her binkie all the time. She rushes over if she spills her bottle or anything.

On Christmas, Claudia got a little baby doll from Santa. When she opened it up, she yelled,

"Mom, it's Isabela."

So now we have two Isabela's. It is way fun.
