Chauncey's Baby Blessing

Chauncey with Aunti Renee.  Mom Bobbie made Chauncey's white tux.  Renee has helped me dress all three of my babies for their blessings.
 Love the tie!

Chauncey and his cousin, Jake (3 months older).
Four generations. Great-Grandma Donna Hawkes, Grandpa Larry Hawkes, Mom Stephanie Forster, Chauncey Forster (and Jake Barney).
 Grandpa has the magic touch.
Swimming at the hotel where everyone stayed for the blessing.  We had a lot of fun!  Thanks Grandma for helping save Xander in the water.  Sorry your phone got wet. :D

Chauncey smiles ALL the time, and talks quite a bit.  Tonight he kept fussing, acting like he was hungry.  I would try to feed him, and he would go all smiles, and talking/cooing like crazy.  He wouldn't even try to eat.  We would talk for a few minutes, with the best smiles ever! Then I would get distracted momentarily until he was starving again, or so it seemed.  Over and over, at least 5 or 6 times he went to eat, then just cooed at me with the biggest feel-good smiles.  Is my 6 week old baby already manipulating the situation to get attention and quality time from me?  I love it!

Oh, and he's ticklish. That is the funnest to watch!

More Utah

4th of July
Fun & Games at the park in Perry
She chose her own colors - pink and purple, of course. :D
 Cute blue dinosaur

Water fight... I think Xander started it with the little squirt gun.  Grandpa escalated it by adding his big water bottle.  Isabela stole the little squirt gun.  Grandpa loaded Xander up with his big one to fight back.
Renee was the best target :)
 Chauncey enjoying watching them.
Xander tends to like men more than women.  Renee seems to be the exception.  He is quite smitten with her.

Learning to use Palitos Chinos.  Eating sushi at the restaurant in Logan where Aunt Kami works.
Isabela teaching Chauncey.  It's a work in progress...
Exactly what makes having children worth it.
Grandma Hawkes came over for tinfoil dinners in the backyard.  I love that my kids got to see all of their grandparents this trip.  We really miss Grandpa Hawkes, though.  I know he is with us frequently, watching over us.

Trip to Utah!

Chauncey and Grandpa bonding... they spent a lot of time together.
At one point I came into the bedroom to find Brandon and Xander taking a nap.  They were both sprawled out on the bed in the exact same position.  I ran downstairs to grab my camera.  By the time I returned, they had both moved, but were in the same position as each other again.  Seeing Brandon with the kids makes me so happy.  He is such a great dad!
Brandon holding Xander's hand as he rocks in sunglasses on the way to church.  (We couldn't find his church shoes, so he got to go comfy style in flip flops.)
This mist sprinkler was a huge hit the entire trip!  It was so hot, and it was a lifesaver.  Grandpa helped Chauncey enjoy the mist as well.
Watching my dad with my son makes me really happy.
This kid seriously has the best facial expressions.  And the best laughs for that matter.
Talk about heat rash.  Poor guy was so hot.  It was over 100 degrees every day we were there.
Grandma giving Chauncey a bath in the kitchen sink.
Grandma & Grandpa Chantland meeting Chauncey.  We love playing outside in their yard and swinging on the swings Grandpa made.
Four generations (just missing one generation, my mom)
 Isn't this the cutest?

Camo-baby!  He is such a content baby.
Finally getting to meet Grandpa Krebs.  Chauncey is named after Grandpa Krebs' dad, Chauncey Edward Krebs, which would be his Great-great Grandpa.
Another, better banana picture.  Xander was a little upset.  "It boke.  It boke."  He was not too happy that it broke on him.
Bell was so excited to help Grandpa actually light the fireworks.  She got to light the match and everything.
Priceless expressions as we watched firework after firework.

Isabela made a kite that she could fly by herself.  Daddy always helps her fly her big kite, but she was very proud to be able to do this one on her own.  It actually flapped around in the wind really well.
Grandma Krebs' birthday on the 4th of July.  She also got to meet Chauncey.  It was fun to see everyone in the family we don't get to see very often.
