A Waterfall!
Chauncey spits up all down my arm and onto the floor (not really that much, though). Xander, with a wide-eyed, completely surprised look on his face, said “Ook! A watofaw! A Watofaw!”

We heard the cows bellowing all night long. The kids begged to take pictures on our way down the mountain.
At 2 months old, this was Chauncey's first camping trip. He did splendidly well! No crying did he make all night long. It was cold, and I had him bundled and wrapped in a fleece swaddler. I didn't sleep much because I was worried about him, but all three kids slept all night, toasty warm.
Hanging out by the fire.
Xander stood in this spot for hours. He was a little unsure of the area. He is about 4 feet from the jeep and the tent. We were all over the place. He didn't mind being alone, but he wasn't about to leave his spot.
About 3 hours later, his spot looked like this.
Xander the photographer, begging to take pictures of me, still standing in his spot.
Cuddling in our super warm sleeping bags.
My littlest happy camper!
Isabela sitting with Elsie, discussing all the important things in life.
They had a coloring table set up for the kids for awhile. It was a huge hit.
The roasted pig. Rocky and Don sampling the pig before dinner.
It was delicious.
It rained off and on all night, and into the morning. It stormed in town, but not in the mountains where we were. The weather was perfect, and the kids were happy to run around playing in pajamas all morning.
Good morning boys!
Another view of "his spot" in the morning.
The kids played in the trees for what seemed like forever. The game kept evolving: hide-and-seek, fairies, sword fights as pirates...
Xander found a frisbee.
And they drew pictures in the dirt.
Thank you to my entire ward for making camping with three small children possible! It was a perfect and peaceful vacation!

I didn't want to "bless you"
This morning we were camping (another post later), sitting in the tent, when Isabela let out a huge sneeze. She turns her head, and covers her mouth, just like a good girl. When she finishes, she turns her head back and says, "I didn't want to 'bless you' on you and Chauncey." I asked, "You didn't want to 'sneeze' on us?" "No. I didn't want to bless you on you guys." What a funny little girl. I love seeing how little kids interpret things we say.
9/1/13 update
Isabela, smiling/talking in a baby voice: "Chauncey. You bless you'd on my arm!" as she wipes it all off with her other hand.

If you ever doubted my babies look the same...
Xander is in green. Chauncey is in brown.
Both pictures at 2 months old.

Xander got some new jammies. He was... ECSTATIC! Look at my RANAS!
"Jump! Jump! Ribbit! Ribbit!" he called as he leaped into the air over and over.
Head over Heels in Love...
...with Chauncey!
Xander said he loves his baby and asked if I would take a picture of them together.
This is the face of Chauncey starting to slip, and Xander being strong to keep him up.
They absolutely adore this little guy!

We love bathtime!

Chauncey
loves the bath, probably more than anything else at this point in his
life (except his siblings, mom, and dad, of course).

The little Thumb-sucker
It looks like we have a little thumb-sucker on our hands. I don't even know what to do with myself! Chauncey sucks on his fingers until he finds his thumb, everyday, multiple times a day. Isabela and Xander each found their thumbs one time that I ever saw, and that was it. The pacifier is a wonderful thing that can be taken away later (although, both Bell and Xander also gave that up on their own... even before I was ready). Self-pacifying is wonderful! However, I worry about two years from now when I have to make him stop sucking his thumb. He will still take a binkie (chupón, as we call it), so hopefully his thumb won't be an impossible habit to break.
Update 9/4/13 with pictures!
Sometimes I wake up to him in the night, sucking vigorously on his thumb. He is obviously hungry. If he would stop self-pacifying and cry a little bit, I would actually wake up sooner to feed him!
Chauncey is a very happy baby. At about one month old, his smiles became HUGE and non-stop. He talks and coos every time I talk to him, and even gives a little squeal-like laugh. I don't remember the other two doing this quite as frequently. He is one happy little camper! I feel so blessed and grateful to have another beautiful baby in our home.

He also loves playing with his hair when he sucks on his thumb.
Although sometimes he pulls it so hard that he cries. :(

This is one of my favorite outfits on him!
