Last night Xander pretended to be asleep so Isabela could pretend paint his face with make-up.
The only thing is... he could only stay in character for a few seconds before he would bust up laughing.
Glenwood Caverns
A few Saturdays this summer, the Caverns Adventure Park on top of the mountain in Glenwood has a free concert in the evening. The gondola ride up is usually $13 a person - a little steep for us. But for the concerts, you just have to donate one can of food per person. There are lots of rides and cavern tours at the top. It was fun to just walk around and listen to the music. Next time, I hope we can do a cave tour or something. The kids loved the gondola.
Getting on while it was still moving. A little tricky for little feet.
Result of using mom's leg as a stepping stool to use the drinking fountain.
Wacky mirrors
We met our friends up there. I love this picture! All four sitting in the Giant's Chair.
So much for wearing sunglasses. Xander wore them like this most of the evening. I was impressed he kept them on for so long, especially since it wasn't all that bright. He usually loves wearing them because he is not a fan of the bright light.
