Baby #3 update

A little history:  For the past few weeks, I have been measuring small.  My doctor/midwives (yes, there are multiple of them in the same facility, and I see them all) have said that I have been measuring really small, usually at least 2 weeks small.  Last week I went it and hadn't grown at all, or gained weight.  I was now measuring 4 weeks small.  She asked to do an ultrasound.  I said no at the time, maybe in a week or two (for various reasons).  But I also kept telling her, this is exactly how it went with my other two pregnancies, and I was not worried.

So on 5/17/13 I was about 36 weeks and measuring 32 weeks.  I was also at 2cm and 80% effaced.
(I know, everyone is going crazy!  But, again, I sat at 3 and 4cm for about a month before delivery with the other two kids as well - I am Not going into labor any time soon!  :D)

Yesterday, 5/28/13, we did an ultrasound.  (I am over 37 weeks and still measuring about 33.) I told her the baby's head would measure 3 weeks big before she started.  Sure enough, everything was perfectly normal!  And, yes, all of the measurements were right on 37 weeks, but the head is now measuring 40 weeks.  There is plenty of fluid around the baby, and lots of movement.
Knowing it is completely an estimate, usually at least up to a pound off in either direction, the baby's estimated weight is 6lbs 15oz.  With 3 weeks left to go, I am thinking he is perfect!!
(My doctor even apologized for making me come in and pay for another ultrasound, although in her situation, I would have wanted to check as well, not having all of my history on hand.)

Also, in case you haven't heard, we are naming our baby Chauncey Joel Forster.  Chauncey is my great-grandfather's name.  I asked Brandon one day (back when we were pregnant with Xander) what he thought of Chauncey.  He was overly ecstatic.  We already had Xander's name picked, so he wanted to use it for our next son.  I obviously liked the name, but didn't realize Brandon was going to be quite so excited.  As it turned out, it is the name of his favorite basketball player of all time, as well.  Joel is a wonderful name in the bible, which we like.  It is also the name of one of Brandon's good friends.

So, we have a healthy (as far as we can tell) little "Chauncey Baby" (as Xander says-or screams-everyday - He is very obsessed with the baby!), who will arrive in approximately 3 weeks!  I am excited to see what he will look like!
