Baby Jake & Easter in Utah

Visiting my sister Jenny and her family in Cedar City.  It was SO nice to just veg and hang out.  It isn't often enough we get to see them.

We got to meet our new cousin Baby Jake.  He is so tiny!
Xander is fascinated, well obsessed, really, with babies.  He knows I have a baby in my tummy and hugs, kisses, and feeds him all the time.  I'm pretty sure he pretends my belly button is the baby's mouth now.  It was so cute for him to be with an actual baby!

While Jenny was upstairs, the kids let the dogs in and fed them downstairs.  I was impressed with how well Kylie took control of the dogs, though.  My kids were very timid, but Kylie did great letting them get close, but not too close.
 Xander, El Elefante Verde!
Combing the dog at a "safe" distance.  Cutest thing ever!  Loved the dogs, but was absolutely terrified when they came in the house and were actually close enough to touch them.  But through the window, they were best friends for quite some time.  I am sure the dog just wanted the food he knew was inside the door.

Easter
Hatzuko's first Easter in the US.
 "Ta Da!! I did ih!"
 Ooo! Ooo!  Another one!

Very possessive of his Jugo de Mango.  The kids will do almost anything if you bribe them with Mango Juice.
Not to be left out, Cuddles got in on the fun as well!

More interested in opening the eggs than actually picking up more.

Baby Chauncey is in my tummy!  Hopefully he is enjoying the candy as much as I am.
If only we could all look at the same camera at the same time :)
One of the swings I covet most!  The other two I know of that Grandpa Chantland made hang at my mom's house.  I already told her that's the only thing I really want to inherit one day.  My siblings can have everything else :D

 Daddy swinging Xander!
I think swinging is one of the best feelings in the world!
Dumping out our candy, so Grandma Loa can re-use the eggs again next year.

Fort Collins

Watching Papi coach at the girls State Championship Tournament in Fort Collins
 Bisabuela Vilda (Grandma Rosie)
We had a great time! and Abuela spoiled me with Nachos!
And Xander, the sugar fiend, with chocolate all over his face.  What could make us happier than that?  Unfortunately, he probably takes after me on that one.
 Papi on the court.
Hatzuko, the foreign exchange student from Chile, came with us!

Yet another haircut!

Unlike his sister who had virtually no hair until she was 18 months old, Xander came out with a full head of it, and it hasn't slowed down in growth.

"Cheese," Xander says as he wiggles.  He lets us cut it, but gets impatient rather quickly.
 You missed a spot!

Oh, good.  Done already?  That was easy.  He really is such a good kid!
The hairy monster!  Taking after his dad already :D

Isabela has a new sweater with fur around the hood.
“Mom, feel it. It’s so comfy.  It keeps me company!”
Now everything soft “keeps her company.”

Last night it was 10PM.  The kids were in bed, but would not fall asleep.  Brandon had already gone in a few times to tell them to stop playing (even though it’s in the dark and they are really quiet).  It is also daylight savings, so it was really like 11PM and we have church at 9am.  Finally, Brandon checked on them, and came out.  They were asleep!  He went down right then to clean the gym for a minute.  The second the door shut, I heard what sounded like whimpering.  It was silent except for the clock ticking.  The sounds were so quiet I had a hard time hearing them over the clock.  After a minute, I heard it again and went to check on the kids.  Isabela was sitting in bed.  I whispered, “Are you okay?”  She bust out laughing.  Xander popped up in bed with a huge grin on his face.  They had totally tricked Brandon into thinking they were asleep.  I broke down laughing til my gut hurt.  Isabela says, “Xander and I were being all crazy!”  I laid down with them, and told them a story.  Brandon came up a few minutes later, and we all had a good laugh. I can’t believe Bell got Xander to fake it well enough not being quite two years old yet.  The little stinkers! J

Isabela didn’t want to take a nap in her bed.  Brandon went downstairs to walk on the treadmill.  As soon as he left, Izzy came out asking if she could lay on her little couch instead.  I told her she needed to lay in her bed.  She asked, “But why do I have to follow all of daddy’s options?”  He always tells her she has two options, and she gets to choose.
It was pretty cute. (I did let her lay on her couch for a minute.  Usually she falls asleep pretty quickly.  But if she doesn’t, she goes back into her bed.)
